The need to continue looking at reviews just as I did the comments on those websites had grown. I was obsessive with it. I looked at Amazon and GoodReads every day for reviews and ratings. Did people like it? Did people not like it? I already knew what I thought about my books, but I wanted to know what other people had thought.
With Innocent, more family and friends had bought the book. I knew, though, that they didn't actually read it. Most of them weren't huge readers to begin with, but wanted to support me by buying the book. (Thank you!) In saying that, I didn't really get the reviews and ratings except from my mom. She was honest in her review, but she could have just given me a good rating because I was her daughter. I would never know. Missing was the gamechanger. Almost none of my friends or family bought this book so I had to rely on advertising and marketing to get what I wanted. I reached out to influencers, bloggers, instagrammers, TikTokers until I started getting responses. There are about 20 of them who were interested in my book and then I listed Missing in a giveaway. People were buying! Reviews and ratings weren't coming in nearly as fast as I wanted, but I still checked every day. Until I got that one star rating... Hello everyone, About two weeks ago, I announced that both of my books would be promoted on Smashwords at a discounted price. Last week, I had announced that Missing was being sold at a 25% discount. This week, I am announcing Innocent's discount: Innocent is 50% off - only $1.99 By clicking any of the pictures below, you will be redirected to the website and/or book pages. I am so excited and hope this encourages more people to buy the ebook version. It comes in many different formats.
If you do buy it, thank you SO MUCH! It is truly appreciated. I would also appreciate if you can leave a review of the book you buy. It would mean a lot to me and would spread the word on my writing to others. I am thinking about doing a giveaway with Innocent, just like I had with Missing. Let me know what you guys think! Should it be an ebook or print book? Or both? - Amy :) Hello everyone,

This has been an exciting journey for me and I hope everyone will enjoy reading it. It is titled "Innocent" and is able to be purchased through Amazon. Click the link here. The excerpt is below. "Chloe - or Tanner as she liked to be called - was the type of girl who appeared tough on the outside but was broken on the inside. She was the girl that took boxing lessons and never complained when she got a bloody nose. She was tough. She was a warrior. She had survived through traumatic experiences but they still haunt her. Tanner is the girl who can't let any boy get close to her. She won't even talk to her brother or father but nobody knows what happened. Every time someone attempts to get close to Tanner, she shakes them off and hopes they'll never return. That's not the case with Aaron. Aaron knows something is wrong with her and he's determined to know what. No matter how much he's kicked, punched, or is thrown insults. He will break Tanner, whether she likes it or not. He has to crack a warrior. He has to break someone who's already wounded. He has to earn trust from Tanner, something she hasn't done since her incident." |
